Summer Chef Camps in Santa Clarita for Summer 2017

Summer is here and kids have more time on their hands.  Instead of just sitting around relaxing all day, they can be cooking up a storm, helping to prepare for a pool party or baking and/or decorating a cake as part of their summer fun!  What is more fun than baking cookies with friends, or making something yummy to take with to the beach or pool?!  Let your kids come learn all about cooking in our chef camps where we use healthy ingredients to create delicious recipes from scratch while wearing our own personalized aprons and chef hats.  There are a multitude of chef camps to choose from as you can see below.

 

Backyard Summer Cooking – $147

Hot summer days are approaching fast! Using fresh seasonal produce, enjoy preparing for those days when cool food is refreshing and flavorful food is most enjoyed! In Summer Cooking class, you will prepare garden fresh dishes, yummy kabobs, fun chilled snacks, and vibrant smoothies and drinks! You will learn about nutrition and basic culinary skills. It will be fun measuring, mixing, and presenting your cool creations! Decorate a chef hat and apron, and take it home along with your very own cookbook with the fun summer recipes you made in class!  Price includes all materials.

Baking – $147

Create a variety of delicious desserts, cookies and baked breads, all from scratch! Learn to roll out and decorate cookies, make biscuits with honey butter, and much more! Surprise your family with a delicious and addition to dinner! Decorate a chef hat and apron and take home your very own cookbook so you can make these at home for family or friends!

Cake Decorating – $147

Have fun learning to use fondant, ice a cake and learn piping techniques. Students will learn the basics of cake decorating, they will use pastry bags and different tips to create designs on cupcakes and wax paper to practice before they create the final project of making and decorating a cake! They will learn how to color and roll fondant, and mold it into shapes, animals and flowers.

Cooking Around the World – $147

Learn about cultures around the world and how to cook their foods from scratch using fresh ingredients. Cook for a Mexican Fiesta or get fancy at an English tea party! Cook up a Swedish Breakfast, Indian cuisine, French dessert and much more!!! Bon Apetit! It will be fun measuring, stirring batter, cracking eggs, and tasting a variety of foods with more hands-on fun! You will take home a chef hat, apron and cookbook full of the recipes you made in class so that you can show your family how you can cook, from all around the world!

Holistic Cooking & Nutrition – $147

Come learn to prepare your food in a holistic way, thinking of the nutrients going into your body and their function.  This is a hands-on make from scratch cooking class.   This is a perfect way to introduce new foods to kids!  The recipes are so simple that the students can even make them at home.

The older students’ camp will be preparing slightly more complicated meals, while still learning all about the nutrition.

In this camp students are encouraged to experiment with different ingredients as they mature in their cooking skills every day.

Healthy Cooking – $147

You will learn to cook using fresh, nutritious ingredients without prepared mixes. Make delicious breakfasts, scrumptious cuisines and much more! Nut Free Cooking & Baking – $147

Not only will students learn to cook and bake with healthy ingredients, but they will also learn to do so in recipes that are gluten-free and vegan, while also avoiding nuts, which are often used as substitutes for ingredients in other recipes.  This camp teaches delicious recipes that can be used for any diet, even the most restrictive.  The emphasis is always on good nutrition and fun!
